Awareness of ” Magel Tyala Shetatale” & Motivation about Plantation – Umra

The Interaction started with a brief introduction to the foundation. People were made aware of the fact that their area /location has been chosen by us for “Magel Tyala Shetatale” activity. We are leading this project which is provided by Govt. of Maharashtra with Financial support. Govt. Of Maharashtra has sanctioned 204 Cr. for this project. There are 278 Shetatale allowed for only Umred Taluka. Under this scheme, the Agriculture Department of Maharshatra provides up to Rs 50000 for one Shetatale. The total amount for Umred Taluka is Rs. 1.39 Cr only for this “Magel Tyala Shetatale” project. So People were made aware of the benefits of this scheme. If you are not taking the benefits of this scheme, the sanctioned amount might get returned to Govt. at the end of the financial year. Our Foundation is there to guide you on how to proceed. Interested people were requested to make documents ready i.e.  7/12, 8A, Adhar Card &  Account details in Xerox.

People listened to us and raised their concerned issues. One farmer was interested and showed us available documents. People were having issues like a very little farm or no farm at all. They even asked us about schemes for Field labors. People were more interested in the plantation as they asked us to get them involved while planting which even made them concern about the ownership of plantation. They also suggested us to make some strong barrier for kathiyawadi cows to protect the plants. There is even an issue of kathiyawadi people as they threaten localities. So people need some strong leader or involvement of the police. People have told about some other problems like trees are cut and stolen by some locals and sold them to liquor producers, but this problem is somewhat resolved nowadays. Overall it was a very interactive event.
